Myles Mackesy (they/them) is an alum of the Royal Winnipeg Ballet School and recently finished two seasons as an Apprentice company dancer with the Royal Winnipeg Ballet.
Originally from Stoney Creek, Ontario, Myles got their start in high-level competition dance, training in all styles before diving into the world of professional ballet schools at just thirteen.
After graduating from the Royal Winnipeg Ballet School’s prestigious Ballet-Academic Program in 2021, Myles went on to perform and tour across Canada as a professional dancer in productions like Jekyll, & Hyde, Swan Lake, Snow White, Giselle, and The Nutcracker. They’ve also brought their artistry to programs like the Jacob’s Pillow Contemporary Ballet Performance Ensemble in 2022 and the Prix de Lausanne Partner School Choreographic Project in 2020.
A passionate choreographer, Myles loves to blend classical ballet with contemporary movement to create new, fresh, and challenging pieces. And now, they’re bringing that same technical and creative energy to Allegro School of Dance, sharing all of their professional knowledge and experience with the next generation of bright young dancers.
