Sofia santana giangrossi

Originally from Brazil, Sofia was first introduced to dance at the age of 3, and after an instant spark and love for ballet, she began to dance competitively at the age of 7, dedicating herself to it for as long as she can remember. Later in 2017, Sofia moved to Oakville at the age of 10 and joined Allegro School of Dance as a part of the competitive team. Throughout her years at Allegro, she trained in many styles such as ballet, jazz, lyrical, contemporary and pointe, and received many accomplishments not only through awards and scholarships but also by being a part of Allegro’s mentorship program since 2023. Through this program, she was given opportunities to develop leadership and teaching skills. Additionally, during her training, Sofia has received multiple ballet exam certifications from Cecchetti Ballet, ABT, Russian Ballet, and Cuban Ballet.

This past year, Sofia graduated from high school and will be attending McMaster University in the fall for Kinesiology.

Sofia is very excited to bring energy and passion into her classes to create a warm and inviting space for her students. Sofia cannot wait to begin this new chapter at Allegro!
